I have 95 GTX and need at least one more lanyard. Are these the ones that have to be programed? It just snaps over the top of the button on the dash.
Thanks

I bought a couple of these kits for replacements. they are not too bad, & I really like the wrist strap. However, The OEM seadoo lanyard stays on tighter. I have had this one pop off a couple times while screwing around. Once when doing a 180 slide at full speed & I ended up bailing off the ski, or I would have rolled it over. Needed the engine to pull me out at the end of the slide, & the tether popped off.

I just cut off the unneeded janitors keys

DESS was a dealer option for the 95 year iirc, but its really unlikely that you would have it. if there is a button that pops up when you pull the key off, it doesn't need to be programmed.

68ragtop - you can always cut the OEM key off your old lanyard and zip tie it on the new one.

I actually ended up pulling the crimp off, installing the seadoo cap & re-crimping the loop. IT worked pretty well.
Made the loop a little smaller seeing I ditched all the other keys that were on it. Zip tie would have been a lot easier!

The wrist strap is my favorite part. Way easier than unclipping from the life jacket.

I use a Seadoo wrist strap, I think I bought them when I had my 96's. I kept one for the Speedster when I sold the 96's. I don't wear a PFD while driving the boat so I can't clip it to me. It's the BOMB, super soft you never know it's there. This thread got me thinking about it. Gotta Love Ebay, just bought 2 of them NOS in the bags for $19.98! Plus it's so much easier with it on your wrist when you fall off, you don't have to stretch it from your waist to reach the post. There's so many NOS goodies on Ebay right now I need to control myself.

More left, if you're interested. Free shipping too.

Good find Racer, just ordered 3. For me its easier cause the kids walk off with their life-jackets and the key is still clipped on. With these they can just hang them on the handlebar.

I also bought 2 keys like what 68 has a while ago, a couple of mine were not looking good, now I will have them all in wrist straps. Next will be to get them all programmed the same for all the skis, so it doesnt matter witch key I take.
