Lanyard/MPEM problem

Last winter I took my 96 Sportster to get winterized, unfortunately I forgot to take the lanyard with me so the worker used a seadoo handheld computer to read my MPEM and start it. I recently tried to start it and all I get is a long beep which is supposed to mean that the lanyard is not communicating with the MPEM. Is it possible that the programming was changed when he did this or would it have been purposely changed?

the tech had to have spare lanyard and he programmed that one for your boat and must have removed your key code from the mpem in the process. You will have to take the boat back with your lanyard to get reprogrammed.

Yes... he could have removed your key from the MPEM

:stupid: THEY OFTEN DO THIS TO CLEAR OLD CODES.... IT WAS PROBABLY AN HONEST MISTAKE FROM HABBIT...
