Ok.....my friend has a 2005 seadoo 180 challanger.....sometimes when it gets rough the key would fall off while riding....so he took it in to get re keyed.... Now that he got it back the problome starts....sometimes when you put the key on it fires right up without pushing anything.... I mean soon as the key hits the lanyard....other times it will just cut off while driving...he has brought it back to the dealer twice and they just keep throwing new parts at it for free....they include----a new computer, new dess port, new wiring harness, new fuse block....

Any idea what they did......any help or ideas will help better then theses guys....

Thanks.

O yea this is a seadoo dealer doing the work

Sounds like the start stop circuit to me.

Unplug it and see if it starts with just the key as you described. If not, you have a direction at least. Could be the switch, semi shorted wire ( which is like pushing the switch) or a shirt within the MPEM.
