Just purchased a 2012 RXT X 260

Hi Guys,
I just got home yesterday with the above ski it was owned by an older guy on lake and only has 29 hours on it. It has a little doc rash but nothing major I paid 9k for it with a Sea Doo trailer. I thought this was a pretty good deal. I have just a few quick questions.

1. What kind of plugs are you guys using in your 4 Tecs?
2. Besides oil changes every 25 hours what else needs routine maintenance? Is there anything that needs greased. I thought i read some where that there is a bearing in the drive shaft that needs attention every so often.

I used to take my old skis to the dealer for maintenance but I think I am going to maintain this one on my own Please let me know if there is anything else I should know about the X compared to my other ski 05 rxp and 07 rxt. Thanks in advance.

DCPR8E's are the plugs I use in an '05 RXT. SC should be fully rebuilt every 100hrs or 2yrs or so...which ever comes first. Keep an eye on all your hose clamps. Swap them out for ss t-bolts when you got the time and money. A quality 10W40 motorcycle oil (you can catch Valvoline on sale for $2-$3 a qt in the spring at crack auto) and find a vacuum pump for changes. I use the less expensive Hi-Flo filter instead of oem. A servicing costs me around $45. Grease the pump with any good marine grade grease...same for your trailer hubs.
