the port tach on my 1998 speedster is intermittent especially in choppy conditions. it seems to modulate up and down with the waves indicating a loose connection or pickup. anyone know where is the tach pickup or a potential loose fitting of the tach system?

I Had a similar issue with my speedster 200, my tachs would jump around, now they are frozen and the speedo isnt working either, i checked the fuse in the engine but it was clean, any ideas??
