Away camping recently and flattened my ski battery un flooding her

Can u you jump start a 12v ski off a 12v car battery ?

thanks Phil

DO NOT, jump a seadoo battery while the engine of the car is running mate! you run the risk of frying your whole mpem in your seadoo which will run you a hefty replacement fee. you can use a battery pack to help you jump, or a non running car. although when i tried this when my ski died ( with a non running car ) it would not work or make the ski start. i eventually bought a trickle charger for 20 bucks at canadian tire.. oh wait, your from nz sorry bro, any car parts store, they should sell a powersports trickle charger that plugs into the wall, i cant imagine it being more than 30 bucks, get that.. its saved me many sleepless nights.

hope this helps! have a good one bro!

:agree: with 96seadooxpBC.... He has been in the forum a short while and is giving you a nice set of guidelines for jumping your ski. I'd follow them to the "tee" unless you want to jeopardize the integrity of your electrical system.

Thanks for helping the member out 96seadooxpBC with a question that so many members do not ask until it's too late!!!!!

That's why we're all brothers and sisters in this forum. We all love our skis and the minds of many help us to protect our investments with a community that can help answer our questions.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.....

Thanks,

That makes sense about the non running vehicle. I was away in the back blocks with a flattened battery. Didn't try to jump start the ski (although i was tempted) until I'd asked the question here.

I have the trickle charger already for when my ski is in the garage.

Cheers,

Phil
