Jet pump cone fill plug

Will the jet pump cone fill plug bottom out eventually? It keeps turning and I don't remember it beeing as far in the cone during removal.

It will not bottom out. Teflon tape on threads and flush with cone.

so just teflon tape the threads and turn it in untill I see the first thred or two of the cone? It seems like it's going to fall into the cone if I keep turning

Just tighten the plug until it's even with the top of the cone, and yes you can run it in too far.

BTW, this thread is posted in the wrong section, should be in the 2-stroke PWC section.
