Anyone know how the hell to put one of these on the boat? We got one with ours and there is just a single sheet of poor instructions with it. It has two adjustable poles with a lot of straps on them but I have no idea where they go. Anyway anyone have pictures of an islandia with a cover on it?

Thanks,
Chadd

I do not have a picture but I'll try to explain.

Assemble the 2 poles. One pole should have 2 white straps and a black and the other should have 2 red and 3 black. The one with the 2 white goes in front. Put the white straps on the docking hooks on each side in front. Leave the black lay in the middle of the boat for the time being. Next, take the other pole and put the 2 red straps on the middle dock hooks and the 2 black adjustable straps on the back 2 dock hooks. Now connect the front and rear poles with the single black strap between them. Adjust the back straps so everything is snug. Put the cover over it and you should be good to go. Another tip is to pick up a couple adjustable cover poles and add them in a few spots. The factory poles dont do a good enough job of keeping the water from pooling.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips. I will go out and battle it again tomorrow. One other question, does the bimni top need to be removed or will the cover fit over the top in the stowed position?

Thanks,
Chadd

No problem. Yes, the cover will fit as long as the bimini is in the stowed position. Also, pick up 4 adjustable straps to help tie the cover down at the 4 loop points on the cover. This will help with trailering.

Good because the Bimini top is a PIA to remove.

Thanks again

One other question while I have your attention. How do you know when it is time for service intervals? Like the 10 hr service? I have scanned through the manual but didn't really see anything in it about how to track hours on the boat? With my older sportster I bought it used and just did my own service to it annually and never knew the hours on it until I got ready sell it then I had the dealer check for me.

Thanks,
Chadd

Good question. I am not sure either. I assumed there would be an hour meter on the boat but I cannot find anything. I know the engines store the hours, but that doesnt help much because you need a buds computer to check that.

just a idea

If you have the land, just go to Pep boys and buy a canvass carport I paid 300 with the full enclosure. Now all I do when ready to go out is unzip the front door and hook it up and pull it out.

Thanks for the info. I just bought a cover also and was trying to figure the poles and straps out.
