Going to be getting into a top end rebuild and want to know if this should be replaced? Anyone use full bore online before? Looking at going with there platinum setup for $295. Would entertain a stock swap if you have the spare parts let me know. Thanks

The head is fine. Clean it first... and then use a small (jeweler's) file to clean any sharp edges off of the dents. Don't get crazy with a big file, or die grinder.... just tale the sharp edged off the dents.

With that said... I don't think you should bother with a "Top end" rebuild. If the crank is old... it's going to eat itself quickly, and it will be wasted $$$.

It's a 95 spx and the hours are unknown. I bought it from original owner I will try and see if he has a guess of hours. If I do a complete rebuild that is about $7/800 for a $1000 ski so didn't really want to go that route. Would I need special tools to pull this motor and put it back in? Here are some pics of the piston damage. Thanks2015-08-03 16.52.18.jpg
