I am about to install my 240 into my 2000 speedster. The shop wanted like 600 bucks to install and test run. i just spent 5K and dont have the extra cash rite now , should i wait till i have the cash. I have rebuilt many a motor but mostly 2 stroke motor cycle 4 weeler snow mobile ect. They mentioned they would not be responsible if something happens to motor after initial run. The motor im sure is fine I only get a year warrenty any way. All i need to do is no how to insure first run is all set and lubed and primed properly. He mentioned priming the motor first. any help on initial run i would greatly appriciate.

I would certainly pay $600 to have them install/test the engine especially if it means they will warranty it.

Yes i no about warranty issue. I was hopeing to get away with out it its only one season. As long as install and first run ok. But one thing wrong ther goes you money and new motor.
