Installing a Pylon on a 2016 Seadoo GTX Ltd 215

Fiberglass can splinter and crack pretty easy. Use sharp bits.

I have found that once you put the smallest dimple, to spin the bit FAST and BARELY push.

A slow speed but wants to grab and can put surface cracks in the gelcoat.
 
I'm curious, does the pylon really make that much difference? It's only going to move the attachment point up about a foot or so, right? I do understand that it gives the observer handholds but does it really make that much difference for the actual tow rope connection?

Yes, it does have a noticeable difference, as well as a secure grip, for the spotter. I have it on my 2003 GTX and use it often
 
I did one and posted here on the forum. Did it to my RXT with pictures and everything. I did have to use a hole drill. First used good blue masking tape, then drilled thur.
Use the search in the upper right. Pylon install.
