Increase speed on 2003 GTI

I have a pair of 2003 GTI 2-cycle with 718 cc / 85 hp.
How can I make them faster machines?
Are there any mods that can be done to them?
Do I have to replace both motors with new/higher horse power motors?
Or is my only choice to get rid of this model and buy completely new ski's?

I was wondering the same thing. I have a 2004 GTI 85hp and its the ski that no one wants to ride. It rides horrible compared to the 2007 GTI as well.
