I picked up two 1989 Seadoo SP's this fall and I am finishing rebuilding them as they were in storage for the last 14 years. I would like to get some new impellers for them as the stock aluminum units are a bit chewed up. I would like to stay as close to stock pitch as possible but I would also like to pick up a deal on e-bay or somewhere else as these Seadoo aren't really worth a $200 impeller (I only paid $500 for each ski). What pitch ranges can I look at and expect near stock performance? I think the stock impellers are 18.8 straight pitch. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who is running something other than stock (i.e. 10/22, 14/19...etc) with a stock motor, and if they can pull tubers etc. Thanks for the help.

You could contact SBT to have them re-conditioned or exchanged for a different pitch, for about 1/2 the price.

I talked to someone at SBT and they told me they do not take aluminum impellers on their exchange program.

I'd be keeping my eyes open for some deals on ebay or the parts sections on forums. I dont think aluminum is too common.. Skat Trak and one other major company which for some reason I cant recall right now also make them but are usually $$.
