hey guys im replacing my wear ring on my 99 gsxl, and when I got it all apart i noticed there are some pretty big nicks in the impeller. would you guys recommend just getting a rebuilt impeller or an aftermarket one. I've looked at the Solas impellers and I'm kinda looking at getting one of those. Anyone have any preferences on a certain impellers and pitch when they've done this. Thanks for any advice. Kent

I have a solas concord on both my XP and GTX and love them! they are cheaper than OEM, and the blades are a hair bigger (diameter) while being thinner. the material is also a polished stainless vs the not smooth OEM one.

I have a 99 gsx limited and run a solas 15-20 love it big difference over stock, but I was out last weekend and some one found some rocks ? no one would fess up I have to order another from Overtons next week:(

OH yes! When everything was stock my top speed by the factory dreamomoter was 64 mph when I installed the Solas impellar & intake Grate the dreamomoter read 73 mph. Don't have a gps set up to verify the true speed but my cheeks were flappin @ 5: 30 am 0n a glass lake LOL . the grate also seems to help with hard turns look em up here http://www.worx.com.au/intake_grates.php
