Went out on the boat sunday and broke down, I had the hood open and tried to wave down some other boats for help. I had a gut pull up in his searay and said he would help me if I had a real boat (i had a few 4 letter woeds for him and he left) I had a very nice guy come by on a seadoo ski and he took my girls back to the ramp so they would not be stuck out there with me. when I got in I bought him and his wife lunch. Im glad our seadoo famly can stick together. I just dont get some people, I have helped many people out on the water know matter what make they have.
thanks for hearing me out

If they aint on a see doo their no good lol I had almost the same thing happen to me last year ended up stuck on the lake for 2 hrs till i made my brother come and bring his boat to bring me to the shore.

Here in Texas, it is actually ILLEGAL to pass a stranded boat and not offer assistance.

That said, my wife and I paddled our boat about 2 miles before the 7th person decided, after passing us and getting a long string of cuss words thrown his way, to turn around and tow us the last half mile.

I have had to be towed many times and its no fun. We were paddling home in our 21ft Cobia cuddy cabin after atleast 7 boats past us with no one willing to lend a hand, untill a 34ft sail boat decided to stop and help, it was the longest tow trip of my life, but well worth. lol

Texas is the only place I've ever been (Houston) where car drivers all wave but the boaters don't. Very strange to me!

You know, that is true, now that you mention it. Boaters seldom wave at each other like they do everywhere else.

Cars wave, bikers wave, heck, we even nod or wave when we walk past each other on the sidewalk!

But not on boats.

Its so true and when you do wave they give you a funny look sometimes like I dont know you why are you waving at me:confused:
