OK. Pretty good news here, and this was a simple one.
Pump oil was an easy change. Much easier than say for instance easy-outing snapped flame arrestor plate bolts...:rant:
And the oil was CLEAN. Blueish tint. It still stank nicely, (offended my delicate sensibilities, Karl
) but I am guessing I wasted some money here.
Well, not wasted really - I wanted to be sure we were all good as far as the pumps, and the options are a lot more expensive than a bottle of oil. So, someone did a service on the drives not too many hours ago. Also got a good look at the trailing edges of the Impellers, they were clean with no nicks I could see.
BTW - Anyone else around here old enough to know where my thread title (well sort of) came from?
