I recently purchased a 97 challenger and have been having some problems with it. From the sounds of it, its most likely my Rave valves that need to be cleaned. Since this is the off-season, I was thinking about going through everything, to make sure i'm good-to-go when the weather gets nice. I'd like to clean the carbs, but I'm not completely confident in doing so. Is there a thread on here that goes through this process?

Thanks for your help,

broken rave will be a broken piston. If the rave is stuck, do to carbon build-up, you wont see past 6k then it'll only turn 3-3500rpm, since you just then, killed the spark plug.

well i've been geeting up to 7000 rpm but the boat wont go past 35 mph so in guessing the piston is ok or like u said i wouldnt be able to go that fast right?

yup. Inspect the wearring, and/or try new plugs. You can remove the boots' ends and clip the wires, 1/4in off.

Possible, the rave/s are stuck, open???
