I cant find carb settings 96 Challenger 787

I had the information at one time. Did not see in shop manual or on Seadoosource. Need high, low and pop off settings. Hate to even ask this. I have to be over looking. Also what spring. If I remember right these carbs came off of a ski.

Update: Did find lows and pop off. Lows 1 pop off 27-39. Still nothing on Highs. Just says to have both H's adjusted the same.

You didn't miss read. I had it backwards. Thanks for looking. I don't see the highs in there.

On all the 787 Skis it's listed as either 0 or MAG 0 PTO 1/2. So I'd suggest maybe MAG 0 PTO 1/2 is a safe setting. Better too rich than too lean.

Don't just trust my word though. Wait for mikidymac racerxxx or someone else who knows for sure.

[1996 Seadoo shop manual] -> 787 engines with Mikuni BN-40I diaphragm carbs: Low speed screw = 1 turn out +/- 1/4 turn (adjustment), High speed screw = 0 (closed). Those are base carb specs....according to the manual for that particular engine....doesn't really matter if the engine is in a ski or boat...the carb doesn't know. Everything I've ever read also says to keep all the carb settings / adjustments consistent on the carbs (in dual carb setups).

Just rebuilt mine, my screws were set as follows before the rebuild:

Mag - High 0 Low 1 1/2
PTO - High 1/2 Low 1 1/2

Getting a consistent 42 psi pop-off on both carbs. Re-used springs and genuine Mikuni carb kit.

Was having some intermittent trouble accelerating above about 5k rpm, so hoping the carb clean and rebuild will do the trick.
