Hull filling with water - 2007 Wake Edition

I took my '07 Wake out for a ride yesterday after 3 weeks of sitting in water by the dock and noticed that about 20-25 litres of water had collected in the bottom of the hull. I know that it was this much as I used my extractor to remove it all. Once I got all the water out, I started it and went for about an hour ride and it was driving fine, but I noticed more water, probably a couple of litres had filled the hull again.

I pulled the ski out of the water and dropped it off at the marina who is now taking a look at it. What are the possible culprits for this happening? I have ruled out a crack in the hull as I fully inspected the exterior and it is in good shape.

Thanks!

If the hull is sound, and it was while running, check the carbon ring for wear or (I ran across this on forums when looking for my own issue's solution) the muffler might have a crack and is causing the water to come into as it is part of the cooling. Hopefully the marina will find the issue for you soon.

They said my SeaDoo doesn't have a carbon ring when i suggested it...

They said that water was entering from the bellow in the bow. I am pretty pissed off because they are going to charge me for replacing that but I don't think it is the reason for all the water as that part has been broken for years and I've never had this issue.

They said they couldn't figure out if water was coming in from the rear of the machine because there was so much coming in from the bow. I think it's bs, but I will be a pain in their ass if they end up not finding it and replacing all these useless parts...

I think i made a mistake taking it to this marina... I should'be brought it back to the BRP dealer I bought it from. I think I'm going to pick it up after this marina does whatever to this bellow in the bow and bring it to the BRP dealer to get it sorted out...

Just curious but how did you know your carbon ring part was broken and why didn’t you get it repaired?

I didn't say my carbon ring part was broken. I suggested the marina take a look at it because it seems to be a common place for water to leak, and their response was that my machine didn't have one, which isn't true.

Get that ski to someone who knows what they're doing, or you could end up like this guy:

Definitely don't want that to happen to my machine... I bring my SeaRay boat to them and I have always been happy with their service, but I don't think PWC are their forte... I am confident that once they replace the bow bellow, it will still leak, so I told them to water test it once they replace it. If it leaks, I will likely just pick it up and bring to BRP dealer.

So my machine is at the BRP authorized dealer and they finally found the slow leak.

They said that the issue is the pump support seal is wearing away. They will need to remove the ride plate, impeller and drive shaft in order to replace the seal.. The total cost of the project is $1600-$1900 Canadian Dollars ($300 difference if ride plate doesn't break when they take it off). 8-9 hours of labour at $125...

Any thoughts on this?

Additionally, if i go ahead with the work, are there any parts that I should ask them to replace that would be within easy reach to avoid having to go back?

Update - The sponsons were leaking and needed to be resealed inside the hull with 'right stuff' in addition to the pump support needing to be replaced and resealed. Total bill came up to $1300 CAD including tax which was less than they estimated. Good example of why you always bring you machine to the BRP authorized dealers that you can trust!
