How to remove seat - 2009 RXT IS255

I am trying to remove the seat to have it re-covered. I see an old thread on this forum, but it is closed and really doesn't completely answer the question. I have tried removing the 2 internal hex head screws on the forward link arms near the gas strut. They loosen, but won't remove. Not sure if there is a nut spinning underneath??? I don't see how to access that area.

Would appreciate suggestions.
