Hello all,
Im new here so cut me some slack:blush:
i just bought 2 used skis last week. the xp ran fine for about an hour, then i noticed it wanted to surge at WOT, then i cruised around for another 30 mins, then i nailed it again and it was fine at WOT.(intermittent)

I read on here that a surging rpm at WOT is usually caused by gunk from the crappy uscg grey fuel line that gets stuck in the carb filters. i went and bought new fuel line and im not sure if I need to remove/ clean carb. can i remove the filters to clean them, or do i have to remove the carb.

it looks like removing the carb is a lot of work, do i have to remove the exhaust to get at the carb? is there a walkthrough for this particular ski? i have never worked on a ski before, so i guess i would like to be spoonfed the first time.

any help would be much appreciated, and thanks in adavance.

Unfortunately on the 787s, removing the exhaust is going to be an important step to get to the carbs. 717s are easier since the pipe can stay on.

In the end, there isn't much to take apart on the exhaust - it just looks intimidating.

are you referring to the engine size? both of my skis have 951's, but it still looks like im stuck pulling the exhaust... does someone have a step by step process, or do i just need to wing it?

If you have a 951cc. engines and if you take your time, you can remove the carbs. without removing the exhaust pipe.
