No, I was using a Phillip head screwdriver, but did just order a set of JIS screwdrivers. Do they really make a big difference? Are you using JIS screwdrivers?
Thanks, I just ordered a set for this. I'll try what you said. I just don't want to be trying to find those screws online if I don't have to.My JIS screwdrivers have a metal end on the handle, I will tap lightly on the end of the handle with a hammer, did I mention I do this lightly, I just keep tapping while applying pressure until they let loose
Yes, they do because those are not phillips screws, they are JIS.No, I was using a Phillip head screwdriver, but did just order a set of JIS screwdrivers. Do they really make a big difference?
They are pretty far gone...I was just going to post a thread I am having a big problem as well. I tried the jls screwdriver then a # 2 Philips as it didnt have the little dot. Then heat from a tiny torch. Next will be a impact. Never had such a problem. These wont budge.
Thanks everyone, I received the JIS Screwdrivers and the screws came right out.
I got a really nice set of 4 that took care of everything for $17 from Amazon. Well worth the price.
