Just bought a 99 Seadoo Xp Limited and wanted to know how to change the pump oil I already changed all the gray fuel lines just trying to do all the basic maintenance to prevent any breakdowns from happening all in all the ski is running great. Can someone give me the steps on how to do this thanks in advance

Grab a free manual at www (dot) seadoomanuals (dot) net..... can be done on the ski by removing the outer nozzle, then the cone, but might be best to pull the whole pump and inspect wear ring, prop, etc. If there's any up and down play in the shaft, will need new bearings pressed in. There will be forward to back play as it's a floating bearing, and there should be an ant-ratlle cone on it. You have to use an unsharpened pencil through the fill hole to depress the spring loaded clamp as you seat the cone back on..... steps outlined in the manual......

Also, if you replaced grey fuel lines, make sure you rebuild the carbs with OEM only kits, as the internal screens will likely be gummed up and possibly lean your engine out..... make absolutely sure you use the existing springs inside... the ones in the kits are wrong for the 951

That's what everyone says then the engine seizes. The filters in the carbs are so small you won't believe it and it doesn't take much to plug them.

Agreed.... they could be clear as a bell or you could already be running lean, and doesn't take long to deto an engine at 6800rpms....
