Pump oil...?
You'll need about 2 and 1/2 ounces. You do not have to buy the expensive Seadoo oils......
You can go to your local auto parts store and buy a gear oil with the GL classification.
I use the Mobile brand, GL5 75-90 synthetic gear oil. It comes in a pint or quart bottle.
The best way to do this is to let the boat tongue on the ground. Remove the 3 bolts that hold the pump cone on. Then, with a bowl of some sort under the pump, tap the cone from side to side while pulling, to take it off. You'll have an "0" ring in the cone's cap, so it'll have some resistance while pulling off.
Then, when the oil is draining, look at it to make sure it doesn't have a yellowish color. If so, then your seal at the forward end of the pump is bad.
If the oil is just darkened, then just continue to drain. When you have the cone off, you can lift the nose of the boat up to get all the oil out. Be careful not to sit the back of the boat on the ground with your pump nozzle off.
Then, put the tongue back on the ground, put a small dab of silicone or gasket sealant on the "0" ring (very thin film). Put the cone on and re-fill with oil. That's it.........your done...........
