With a .5 MM oversized piston, new top end on a 2000 seadoo xp, how fast do you think it will top out at? just curious if anyone could guess

Probably about 65mph, but it will get there a lot faster than most ski's. You might be looking at the oversize pistons as a performance factor. BRP does a good job of getting max. performance with max reliability from their ski's. The oversize pistons will only give a slight performance boost maybe 1-2 mph.

If top speed is what you are looking for you might want to change your impeller, but you won't come out of the hole as fast.

Yea i already have an after market impeller for top end speed. Ill take 1 to 2 mph though, i just cant wait to get on the water. gotta put the pipe and carbs back together and then do 10 hours of break in for the new top end. Thats going to be a long 10 hours

normally, a .5mm bore will not add any speed but what matters most is the compression. test your compression. people think they add speed due to the over bore but really it is just faster because the old pistons lost compression.
