hood reconditioning

I have a 94 xp it has the green sunfaded hood on it. Anyone ever ever have any luck trying to repaint or recondition this era hood?

yup....stuff called "awesome", found at 99 cent store, and a scrotch brite pad.

A repaint is easy since it's semi-rigid. Sand all the crusty, oxidized plastic off, and paint it. I did the hood in my avatar, and it looks good. (originally it was a teal SP hood)

wow sounds easy! ill try cleaning first if not ill paint what type paint did you use?

what did you use to clean it, what kind of paint? that new plastic stuff? i need to do my green 94 xp hood also
