I found some holes on one of those raised bumps on my tuned pipe.
I took a pick to it and started to digging around and sand started falling out of them. Could this be fixed or do you have to replace the pipe? Its a rather expensive part.

Get this stuff, sand the metal around the hole thoroughly ( for the stuff to grip too ), get a stainless mesh wire screen, cut roughly the size of the hole, then load this stuff on it as thick as youd feel right. Ive read it lasts upwards of 2 years and running for some members on here.

After I posted my problem I decided to look into it in past post and found the answers I needed. I have access to heilarc so might as well fix it that way.
I do appreciate the reply though.

Denver to Houston

I bought this 98 speedster about 3 years ago from a guy in Denver. Brought it down to sea level. Have been running it for about 3 years and the only problem is I have melted the raves twice but only on one of the motors. I thought maybee the jetting is set for high altitude but why would I not have problems with the other motor? How could I tell if I have it jetted for high altitude?

You will have to replace the RAVE valves and the valve housings. They are worn out. When the shaft of the valve is too loose in the housing, hot exhaust gases will blow past the o-ring and melt the plastic piston.
