High speed sputter....

Thanks for your help. I still wonder if I am running n lean. I plan to purchase a tach and adjust the high speed needle until I notice a drop in rpm on the rich side, and see where that falls and how much of a change from stock. There is still the thought that I could have a clog in the high speed circuit, preventing proper fuel ratio.

I am not going to blow the engine...
 
Seems like it's doing pretty well, was just surprised the insulators hadn't picked up more brown color by now.

Maybe you can keep an eye on piston wash, I haven't been watching wash on mine but it's a better indicator than plug insulator color. What you want to see is around 1/4 inch ring of bare aluminum, the three cylinder here is after 50hours and well into the safely rich zone.
