hi rpm engine problem

I own a 1997 Challenger 1800 with 2 x 110hp at the back.
My right engine runs great at idle,but when I hit the throttle,the engine revs up to 5000 rpm and then suddenly dyes to 0 rpm.(dead flat)
I can restart it without any problem, idles great again and as soon a I hit the gas,the problem start over again and again....
Can somebody help me on that problem?

Time for a carb rebuild. Sounds like the high speed jet is plugged.
