Help!!!!!! Won't turn over after drivline refresh? solved

I just finished replacing just about everything in the driveline. New PTO boot, new stainless ring, new carbon seal, new driveshaft boot, new driveshaft bumpers, new wear ring, new skat trak impeller. The boat didn't even have the PTO boot or driveshaft bumpers when I got it 3 weeks ago. Just got it all back together, greased the pto zerk, put new oil in the pump, and now not only will it not start, it won't even turn over. Hit the starter and "clunk", nothing more. I climbed into the engine compartment and tried to turn the pto by hand and couldn't. Please, what did I miss? The new impeller is pretty tight in the wear ring, but I could turn it by hand before I put it back on the boat.

Before the sealer gets hardened, pull the pump off and try again to start the motor, the pump should turn but very tight fit when new ring in there - the rubber end bumpers missing make a funny rattle sound at low speeds and boat users hardly hear it.

you put a neoprene seal, between pump and hull?

Pull pump and driveshaft, then see if motor turns by hand and by starter.

Well after a night of regrets, I decided to tackle it again this morning before work. I loosened the nuts on the pump a bit and pulled it back a little. I was then able to turn the flywheel by hand. I got it started and ran it for a few seconds, tightened the nuts a little, ran it again...repeated until it was fully tightened again. I guess it the impeller was just a little too tight initially. Took it out on a local fishing lake for a quick shakedown and it ran great. Thanks to the forum for all of the help/advice.
