help with mpem

I have a 2001 gtx and it wouldn't start so i jump it and in the process it started to start without the button being pressed and no lanyard.I had to disconnect the battery. I thought it was the starter relay so I put a new one in it. no help. touch the cable to the battery and it will go. Is it the MPEM ?

The 2 beep sound means the electronics are ready to crank the motor and begin - however I read you did something called "jump", there are warnings in the books and on the ski itself to never charge or boost the seadoo from a battery charger or a running vehicle/tractor as this causes damage to the MPEM, finding them for the 90's machines is nearly impossible - there was a repairman who made his presence known but if you can find a good one under 800bux grab it if you have no spark while doing a compression test.

The starter solenoid is stuck. Rap on it, and if it does not unstick replace it. But
first unplug the start/stop switch connector, attach your continuity meter and depress to rule that out. Bill
