Help with fuel float

Hi

I ordered a new float and installed it. I get no fuel level readings. BUT when float moves all the way to bottom of tube I get the constant alarm for low fuel.

I have since read some troubleshooting directions that mention 4 magnets.
My float has only 2. Please tell me they make different floats and I have the wrong one!

fixed it - I think

Searched and found message on F1 fuse - after I did all the work of jumping it - my fuel gauge now works.

I still have an orange light by the low fuel side of the guage that stays lit even tho there is more than 1/4 tank of gas reading.

When is the orange fuel light near the "E" supposed to light up?

any ideas ?
