Help with Driveshaft removal

I need some experienced help. I have removed my jet pump from my 96 SPX and have tried everything to remove the driveshaft from the impeller. I have removed the boot or ring around the impeller and placed various types of anti seize lubrication around the splines. I don't know how much force to apply or twist before doing damage. I'm about to start beating it with a hammer. Please help.

That is very strange... Can you share a picture ? I have a 99 Sportster and I can't imagine exactly how this got stuck this way...

I would let it soak overnight in penetrating oil (Such as PB Blaster or anything labeled penetrating on it)

If that fails, rinse well and put a torch to it...

It ll fails perhaps drill a big hole on a 4x4 and thread the shaft thru it and wack at the 4x4 and not at the impeller

I can add a picture in the morning. I have had penetrating oil soaking in the well where the shaft enters the impeller for 3 days. I can't imagine why it's so stuck.

Shaft Update-
Well, I gave up and stopped by the SeaDoo dealer and even they couldn't get it out. So the Tech put a monkey wrench on the shaft and removed the impeller and shaft together.

My project was to replace the wear ring and this accomplished my goal. The tip of putting the wear ring in the freezer worked great. It slid right it. A few taps on a wood block and it seated perfectly. After a good cleaning of everything, the pump is back in the ski.
