hi guys:

so I got this 01 gtx rfi and it was bogging and it wouldn't rev up, so I took it to a guy to get my "carbs" cleaned up, lol but we founf out that it's fuel injected lol so he cleand the injectors and the lines and I ran great, ever since I've taken it to the lake about 8 times, I even learned how to wakeboard and pull a tube, but it just started to do the same thing.

in the water I won't rev up past 1500rpm and momenterrly it kind of feels like is gonna take of but nothing when on the trailer it will rev up ok, it has had the lines and injectors cleaned... So from what I've been reading it seems that I might have to clean the RAVE valves which I'm doing in the morning and then test it at the lake.

he checked compression and it was fine in both cilinders close to 150. O and it had new plugs.

anything else I can do guys?? I hope that solves my problem.

thankx in advance and any comment or tips will help.

nobody???

ok I'll clean the rave valves in the morning and look into the fuel filter see if I can replace it

I'm done cleaning the rave valves, much easier than it looks, they weren't that dirty just the front one had a real nasty dent I'm guessing it has t be replaced, so while I was messing with the bolts, somehow, one of my plug wires just snaped off....it looked green and corroeded so I don't know if that helped to my problem cut about 1/4 and stick it back in the boot and zip tie'ed,

I'm off to the lake see what happens, whish me luck!!!

no luck it does the same but now it will slowly get to 3500rpm....but I mean slowwww

it's getting frustrating.....what else do I do???

ok I'm gonna pull the injectors and fuel rail in the morning and clean them see if that helps. (i hope I don't brake anything lol)

ok now.....i changed the plugs just cuz they are $2.50 they looked blackand oily but not wet, idk if that's consider fouled, removed the fuel rail and injectors just to find out I couldn't do anything about them so I just put them back ( o well), next I opened the RAVE valves ad notice that the bottom spring that holds the rubber in place wasn't sitting at the groove that it has so I removed it and mess with it for like 30 minutes until I got it right, I did the same with both raves.

I noticed that the new plugs were gapped at .03" so I went back and checked the old ones sure they were .03" too so I closed the new one to .02".

after 3 hrs I was done, went to lake houston and test it and it ran 49mph but the water was a little rough so I'm happy.

the red button on the rave valves where should it be??? All the way in in the middle or where???

thankx guys I'm a happy camper after working on it myself abd get it running thankx everyone

after gettin some help from snipe i put the red buttons on the valves all the way out flush with the caps and im gonna test it in the morning :D the raves had been all the way in so, ill see how it runs with them out flush.

I just bought that same Seadoo. I had to replace the oil tank, and the exhaust hoses. It's running real good now. I see you guys talking about cleaning the Rave valves. What are Rave valves and how do I clean them?
