Ok so I bought this my 94 xp last summer... It ran rough... I cleaned the carbs and it ran very well, very fast.... One day it just died out... I took apart the electrical box and the 5a mpem fuse was blown.. I put another in it and nothing happened.... Button clicks and that's it... I checked battery voltage at it said 1V... I unplugged the stator and I was back at 12V... So I ordered one from eBay... Pulled off the flywheel and replaced the stator... I get the same problem... So I'm thinking bad mpem... But the 5a fuse is no longer blowing... Found a whole electrical box on eBay... Swapped the boxes out and I get the same thing! I unplugged the stator and I'm back at 12V... I understand the electrical box gets it's ground from the stator... So that could be why when I unplug it I am back to 12v... But I can't figure out what's going on... I have unplugged all electrical components of the dash... Like vts, tach, and fuel gauges...
Since I changed all that my voltage draw isn't as much... The battery goes down to about 6V and stays there.. When I disconnect the battery... It slowly climbs back up to 12V...
I haven't had the battery checked yet... Nut it see that couldn't be the problem right? There should be no voltage draw from just connecting the battery right?
