Gentlemen:
Here's the condensed version of an earlier post
This summer my 2006 GTI has run rough intermittently. Always had top speed of 53+ and good response to a quick opening of the throttle but ran rough from time to time under 6000 rpm.
It has been diagnosed by an independent mechanic and a SeaDoo dealer, no error codes either time. The independent mechanic put new plugs in it, and the SeaDoo dealer ran the BUDS check, and both said that no error codes were thrown out, and that it should run fine.
It didn't.
This Sunday it ran rough intermittently as usual below 6000 rpm and when I changed the plugs I noted the stern plug was MUCH cooler than the other two. The plug boot/coil had a crack in it.
It is a warranty part, but the dealer was reluctant to give me a new coil without the ski to diagnose and said it could also be the injector. Fair enough.
How can I check the injectors to see if they are working?
That way I can tell the dealer that 1) putting it on the BUDS system and 2) changing the plugs and 3) cleaning the injectors then 4) charging me money for not fixing the ski, will not be acceptable, since it has been tried.
