Any advice or experience regarding IBR errors?
I have two identical 2011 GTI's. Both started the season with new faults after having the dealer install new batteries in both.
They have been very reliable for 6 years and have close to 300 hours on both. Bought them both new.
One of them is coming up with IBR error and the IBR mechanism stops in a neutral, slightly forward position. I can crawl back to the trailer from the dock but just barely.
I tried cycling the IBR on the trailer and it would go into the error as soon as I started it. I change the 30 amp fuse and suddenly its behaving (can't see a problem with the old fuse and it test ok)
Wondering if anyone else had had experience with failing IBR they are expensive to replace and concerned that it came on after the battery change.
Thanks in advance
