Time for a new pump.
understand....have you seen this kind of failure before?
If so...what causes it?

I assume bad bearings....
I know I put gear oil in there and saw no leaks.
Maybe the bullet housing fractured, oil ran out....the rest is obvious.

Here's a victory....
fixed my speedometer Saturday.
when I removed cowling, it was UNPLUGGED!!!!!

Also the single wire going to sensor had been been pulled so hard it broke. Added a foot of wire to it. It works, but that darn bearing and pump are out now.

need to sell the speedometer previous owner gave me when he was planning to repair it.

I do need a new to me working fuel gauge.

just bought a fresh pump (complete) but first time out...I heard/felt a thunk. No pressure and could only move slow. the wear ring somehow got sucked through the pump. Really angry and ready to get out of PWC's right now.

Sounds like t wasn't a fresh complete pump. The only way you are going to blow out a wear ring is fi it is an old deteriorated OEM one.

Stick with the OEM ones in my opinion.

My Seadoo is running pretty good these days. I do think the low speed is a little lean as it might die when I get into the throttle.

what do you guys think if I open low speed 1/8 of a turn?

Without going back through the entire thread let’s cover the basics. You had a cylinder with low compression. Has that been addressed and what is the compression on each cylinder now? Also have you rebuilt the carb and installed ONLY OEM Mikuni parts in it AND used the stock pop off spring? Have you tested pop off pressure and checked against factory specs? Your problem will most likely be related to the above issues if they have not been checked/resolved.
