Hello and thank you for your help!

I have a 1999 Seadoo Challenger 1800. I'm just getting the boat ready for the the summer. When trying to start the boat for the first time this season, I reinstalled the newly charged battery, cleaned off the spark plugs, and turned on the blower. The horn, lights, and all other electrical were to be working fine. However, when I press the start button for either motor the electrical dies. I hear a very slight click and the blower cuts off (seems to loose all power) and will not cut back on. My remedy to re-energizing the system is to remove the positive connections from the battery for a few seconds then reconnect them. At that time the electrical works again but whole process starts over again when I press either start switch.

If you can offer any suggestions I would be very appreciative.

you getting any beeps when lanyard is attached to post??

try diag mode. remove the lanyard, press start button 5 times. 1 short beep then one long beep will be heard, lets u know u in diag mode. put the lanyard back on then press the start button. tell me what u hear. sounds like you have a short somewhere or possible grounded out. not sure if that will help since it cuts when start button is pushed.......

Sounds like you're just dealing with a bad battery connection or bad battery disconnect switch (if it has one).
