i have a 98 gtx limited that quit running we checked compression and there was none on one cylinder so we pulled engine today and sure enough the 0 compression cylinder dry as a bone and cylinder and cylinder wall grooved. so now comes the advice part going to replace engine but have seen two places on internet that sells reman engines SES and SBT any advice on which one to use? also ski has grey fuel lines so have been told by numerous folks to replace them now comes the help do I just use regular black fuel line or is there a special fuel line I need to use? thanks for the info.

I have a SBT premium engine going on 3 years and no complaints, I've also heard good things about SES, but they rebuild your engine and take a long time. If you want back in the water this year go with SBT and I would recommend the premium engine with a 2 year no fault warranty.

Premium SBT. Regular 1/4" and 5/16" fuel line from the parts store, NOT fuel injection hose. Get new clamps from Home Depot as well, 3 bags of 10 should do.

thanks for the info so basically I am guessing that the biggest difference between SBT and SES is turnaround (and about 300 dollars)
