i have a 1999 seadoo gti that starts and runs great for about 5 minutes the starts skipping dragging and then just dies.I have checked the voltage. The stator and rectifier seem to be working fine.I cleaned all of the grounds, cleaned the carb and trimmed the plug wires back.also replaced all of the fuel line.has a new battery and spark plugs.im at a loss here and any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

oh yeah I forgot to mention sometimes it beeps when it dies.and if you wait about two to three minutes it fires back up and repeats the process

now they are black.Ijust changed them from the original grey ones also forgot to mention that I pulled and cleaned all the electrical connections.

did you overhaul carbs and clean or replace your selector valve, and will it run better on reserve ??? if it runs better on reserve is a sign of selector vave

Run with the fuel cap loose to see if your fuel tank vent lines are working properly. Report back.

I did overhaul the carb.did not replace the selector valve but I did blow through it and it did not seem to be clogged or anything.and it doesn't seem to be any different on reserve or on.

give us some actual voltage readings on the battery, and when ski is running -- you may have a rectifier issue --

If it beeps first what does that sound like, long loud beeps that only stop if you pull the lanyard? This could be your overheat warning. What do your spark plugs look like? Could be electrical still as well, have you looked at the plug from your rear ebox to the mpem? If you ski is like mine that 6 wire connector can develop corrosion on the back of the pins inside of it. Look at parts 26-27 on this website:

the ski at idle is charging at about 12.5 to 12.6 1nd gets to a little over 13.its just one medium beep and its only happened twice out of about 20 times.havnt pulled the plugs to see yet.i did clean the connector at the electrical box

the jug does have a small crack in between the cylinders that leaks a little bit but it seems to only leak outside and not into the cylinders.it is a very small leak
