So I have recently bought a 2001 gtx and a 2001 rx both in good shape with 100 hours a piece my question is where do u hook a hose up to them?? They both run great had them on the lake for 7 hours the other day the rx was about half full of water when we finished hmmmm lol had all plugs in before ride... Anyway any comments on where the hoses plug in anyone have a pic of theres?

Thanks all Courtney

Welcome to the forum Courtney. To hook up the units to a hose for flushing, take a look at the jet pump. In the upper corner will be an inlet that hooks to a garden hose. If you are concerned that's where the water came in from, that's very doubtful. It could be the carbon ring (where the drive shaft passes through the hull) or a leaky hose or exhaust in the hull.

On the gtx the connect is just above the jet pump in the back on the left. That is a lot water. Could be a leak in the cooling system. Run it on the house for a few minutes and look for leaks. If everything looks good then test it in the water next time out. Sound like you have two good boats there when you get this sorted out.

I'm thinking Carbon Seal as well.
And,,, if you run it on the hose for anything more than a few minutes you can easily damage the seal.

Do you have cavitation? Does the engine rev up fast but the ski take a bit to get to speed?
