Hello from Niagara, Canada!

Good Day all,

I am an aspiring Seadoo owner and plan on purchasing a used machine as soon as I can sell my motorcycle.

I think I have narrowed my choice for a first ski to an SPX, or an XP. Having said that, my target machine (outside of those two models) is either going to have the 717 or the 787 power-plant.

I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and work on my own machine. I have loved tinkering with bikes over the years, so will replace that hobby.

Any wise words from the veterans out there are always welcomed.

Since I am new to the forum and plan on learning to do engine work myself, would a 720 be enough get up and go along with giving me a good starting point to work on things myself? Cheers!

What does everyone think of this? I'd offer him 2K and see what he had to say. To me this ad is wrong, this looks like a 98, not a 97, and they came with the 800 not the 720 so I am not sure where this guy is coming from. Of course compression test and water test to make sure his claims are correct.

Looks like I am picking up a 97 SPX with a fresh top and bottom with vts working. Should have it Saturday pending the compression and water test. Totally stoked.
