Bought a 2012 Challenger 180 with 255 HP Supercharged Rotax engine. This is after owning an outboard that I didn't have much luck with. It has a 150 HP Johnson and it was hard starting, and even the marina couldn't figure it out. Turns out I rebuilt the full pump myself and it started easy every time. Then I started noticing the water coming out was not pushing the normal amount. Rebuilt the water pump but I'm now have an overheating problem.

Well my bad luck continued with this purchase. First time out my son sucked a ski rope in, but fortunately shut it down before the rope bound up the drive. After 30 minutes with a razor knife, diagonal cutters, etc the rope was finally freed. Good news - no vibration when we got it back in the water.

Now after about 3 hours of running I've got an intermittent electrical problem which I just posted.

Hope to gain more knowledge and share any knowledge I can with other forum members.

Glad I found this site and joined it.
