97 sportster advice please......
well.....just bought a 97 sportster....first seadoo...paid 3500 for it...very clean on the outside but the engine area and other compartments had an oily film everywhere...engine runs fine..bilge pump was unplugged...had to rewire the blower....cleaned her up and launched her...did not get far and the reverse cable broke....someone put the connecting bolt in backwards and it hung up on the gate....breaking the cable.......question one..there seems to be a latch on the gate that locks it in forward position...will this automatically release when I want to shift??....secondly....is there a reason the vertical bar on the outside of the jet pump nozzle was removed??......have been wanting one of these boats for a while and am hoping I did not pay too much.........
