heavy gas odor in exhaust

Mercury M2 210 carb.

All 6 cylinders firing - no loss of power- I think I am just running very rich - what adjustments on the carbs can be done? I see the screws with the white plastic caps all 6 are at 12:00 position- is that correct? or should I be looking elsewhere?

After more research I don't think its a "rich" issue- that would effect idle and acceleration which I have no issues with.

So, any ideas?
