Have cavitation problems and the whole pump and wear ring& impeller are new from SBT

It if i rev it high enough to get up on plane it runs fine but its very difficult to get to plane and it worked fine before I burnt up the old pump, so what should I be looking for
 
Use a fleshlight and look in the tunnel, then thru the nozzel. You might have a Baby Diaper in there.

No I didnt Im trying to figure out exactly what it is, I looked at a parts diagram and I only saw something called a carbon ring . Is it a carbon ring ? Before I burnt up the other pump it worked fine , so could me of pulling the old pump have caused a problem with the carbon seal . The jet ski only has 43 hours on it.
 
Im guessing it is related to something you replaced. How did you seal the pump back to the hull?
 
Do you mean like a gasket material in between the pump itself and the hull? I didnt see anything in the manual about seal around or between the pump and hull, but I did put the exact loctite gasket makers and loctite thread lockers on . What exactly should i use and where should i use it, between the hull and pump or just go around it ,now that its on
 
I just took it off the old pump. I realized what i had done as soon as you post a link to the seal:thumbsup: I got it put on tonight after a 16 hour day and hopefully will get to try it out for a few minutes when I get off work and thanks again. You have been very helpful
