GTXDI Crank oil

Hi folks, got myself a summer project 2003 GTXDI 951. It's needing a top end rebuild which is all in hand and going as per schedule. What I'd like to know if anyone can help is the lubrication for the crankshaft. Read different reports saying the engine lubes it with 2 stroke and the counter balance is run on 5w30 and is in a separate reservoir. Can anyone verify this? what's is the best way to check the levels and top up?

There is a counter balance cavity that is filled with straight 30 weifht oil. I belive it holds 30 ml although hopefully someone can verify this.

Just use cheap old HD 30 engine oil, about 30ml.

How many hours on the ski?
951 crankshafts don't last much more than 200 hours especially with the stress of a new top-end.

37hrs on the clock, can't say if it's genuine or not. It's a 2003 machine.

Your right, the hrs are low for a top end. There may be an underlying issue that's caused the problem. I'll check the usual suspects when it's rebuilt.
