GTX Millennium edition starting problem

Hi, I am having trouble starting my ski when cold. It takes around 5-6 cranks to fire up. Once it has fired up it starts up straight away if i switch it off then start it again. If I leave the ski for longer than 30 mins I have the same problem starting it up again, as you can imagine this takes its toll on the battery. Once the ski has fired up it runs perfect. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated

Pretty common for them to take a couple cranks after sitting for long periods of time, especially overnight. You could have leaking needles and seats, how long since the carbs have been correctly rebuilt?

Thanks for your reply, I had the carbs done last summer. I realise that as it’s an old ski it will take a bit of time to fire when left for a while when I haven’t been using it but it’s strange when I’m out on the water for the day and stop of some where and have the same problem starting it up

Thanks for your reply, I had the carbs done last year. As it’s an old ski I understand it will take a bit of time to fire up when left for a while. It’s just annoying when I’m out on the water and stop off somewhere for half an hour and have the same problems starting it up.

Sorry, I gave you wrong info. Mine is not the DI model. I have the GTX carb edition
