My neighbor has a 98 GTX limited with the 951 silver motor, and his ski does a long beep every 30 seconds or so while riding (no warning lights on)..then when I had my 98 GSX limited with the 951 silver motor, it did the exact same thing..any ideas? Both ran just fine and both where full of oil and everything.

long beep

That can be the Rectifier on its way south. Also I suggest you go over all electric connections and clean & dielectric grease as preventative. Plug connections Fuse & holders ect. Seadoosource.com sells a heavy duty rectifier. problem could be the lanyard post. The lanyard has a ROM (read only memory) chip in it. It makes connection to the MPEM by magnetics. The rom must remain in contact with the MPEM. If the post is going bad, replace it. A long beep means wrong key. My guess is Rec or post. Either gives a corrupt signal to mpem.

One long beep every 30 seconds or so, and the ski is running fine, is typically the ski trying to tell you that you are low on oil or low on fuel. Is the fuel gauge working correctly?

Reply.1 long beep

My gtx was doing this.Mine was the low fuel warning. The sender unit was cactus so I found on this site how to bypass it.The fuel gauge always reads full now.I also found a way to get a reading on the fuel.I lifted the front hatch and looked.
